Overall, the U16 team was again competitive against 3 very good teams from Maryland, New Jersey, and Pittsburgh respectively.
It has taken a little bit longer than we thought with trying to get all of the new players to blend and play together. Things are improving, however we still have to find the leadership required to win the tough and close games.

Game Summary: Defense was the factor in this 2nd game. The team played great defense and created a ton of turnovers the entire game. The guards (Derrick Borom, Kailan Boston, Kourtlan Johnson, Jalil Goodwin and Josh Gee) applied great defensive pressure up front. Forwards Silas Mills Jr., DeMario Paige, Larentaz Daniels and Justin Newell rebounded well and blocked shots. The lead was as much as 24pts in the early minutes of the 2nd half. F Daniels had 2 exciting dunks in the game, an alley-oop from PG Goodwin and a bounce pass from SG Boston. The team won the game 60-53. Leading scorers were Newell 15pts, Mills Jr. 12pts and Gee 10pts.
