The recruitment of Stay In The Game foward, Steve Ivory Jr (Milwaukee North Divsion) is beginning to heat up once again. Ivory is scheduled to take his first official visit of the spring this weekend to Sheridan CC, in Sheridan, WY.
The 6'6 power foward is also currently receiving heavy interest from Adams State College, Colby CC (KS), and Northeast Oklahoma CC.
Ivory Jr was a first team Milwaukee All-City conference performer for the North Division Blue Devils who averaged 16 points and 8 rebounds per game this season.

We have received confirmation from Marshalltown CC Men's Head Basketball Coach - Brnyar Brnyarssen that Wisconsin's Mr Basketball, DeMarcus Phillips has signed his official letter of intent to attend school there next fall.
Phillips a 6'3 combo guard that lead Milwaukee Washington to a 24 - 1 record was being heavily sought after from many schools across the country decided upon Marshalltown, based upon his strong relationship with Marshalltown assistant and former Stay In The Game point guard, Cosea Copeland.
Coach Copeland did and outstanding job in his recruitment of Phillips, beating out several of the higher profile junior college programs in the country.

Gulf Coast Community College Head Coach - Jay Powell is scheduled to visit Milwaukee early next week. The purpose of his visit is to meet with 6'8 senior center Patrick Davis' family, travel team coach Charles Jordan, and high school coach Jay Kenseth.
It is expected that the 6'8 center Davis (Milwaukee Washington) will sign his college letter of intent to play basketball next year for Coach Powell at Gulf Coast. Davis, was a first team all city conference selection and honorable mention all-state for the Purgolder team that finished the season 23 -1.

First Team All-City performer Steve Ivory Jr (6'6 WF - Milwaukee North Division) is scheduled to visit Sheridan CC in Sheridan, WY.
The 6'6 Ivory was one of the top performer's in the Milwaukee City conference this past season, averaging 16 points and 9 rebounds per game.
Other schools in the hunt for Ivory next season are Fresno City CC (California), Kankakee JC (Illinois), and Colby CC (Kansas).

The state of Wisconsin's Mr Basketball, DeMarcus Phillps (6'3 WG - Milwaukee Washington) has decided to attend Marshalltown CC in the fall.
The 6'3 Phillips lead Milwaukee Washington to a 24 -1 record with a 20 ppg scoring average. Phillips was a unanimous first team all-state selection.
Phillips decided on Marshalltown over Chipola JC (Florida), Butler CC (Iowa), Iowa Western CC (Iowa), Indian Hills CC (Iowa), Vinceens JC (Indiana), and Sheridan CC (Wyoming).

The 6'8 Davis visited Gulf Coast CC over spring break and decided that it was the best place his development both personally, athletically, and academically.

Gulf Coast Community College, located in Panama City, FL is the latest school to show interest in Stay In The Game stand out senior player's Patrick Davis and Steve Ivory Jr. according to Coach Charles Jordan.
Patrick Davis is a 6'8 - F/C from Milwaukee Washington HS, was a first team Milwaukee city conference selection. Davis is one of the keys to the perfect season success of Milwaukee Washington. Davis is currently averaging 10 points, 14 rebounds, and 6 blocks per game.
Steve Ivory Jr is a 6'6 senior power forward at Milwaukee North Division. Ivory is also a first team Milwaukee City conference selection who is currently averaging 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks per game.
GCCC is located in Panama City, FL and is a member of the Florida Panhandle Conference, one of the toughest JC conference in the country because there are no scholarship limitations or out of state restrictions.

The Marshalltown Community College Tigers have offered 6'3 DeMarcus Phillips (Milwaukee Washington) a full basketball scholarship to attend school there next fall.
Phillips has been having an outstanding senior season, leading the Washington Purgolder's to a no#1 state ranking and undefeated season. Phillips is currently averaging 22 points per game, and has moved up in the state rankings from the 8th to the 3rd best player in Wisconsin behind Korie Lucious and Kwamain Mitchell.

The Chipola College Indians, the no#1 ranked junior college program in the country has offered DeMarcus Phillips from Milwaukee Washington a full scholarship to attend school next fall.
Coach Greg Heiar the Men's head basketball coach at Chipola over the Christmas break attended several practices and the Christmas tournament that Milwaukee Washington was participating.
According to Coach Jordan, Chipola JC indicated that Phillips was their no#1 recruit.

According to Stay In The Game head coach - Charles Jordan, Coach Lightfoot was extremely interested in recruiting and establishing a relationship with the program.
Steve Ivory's list of schools include: Adams State College, Kankakee, Southeastern CC, and Butler CC.

Corvonn Gaines, a 6'5 senior PG at Madison West High School has started to receive some interest from the University of Purdue out of the Big Ten, according to Gaines' travel team coach, Charles Jordan.
Gaines had his travel team season cut short after breaking his ankle in Louisville, KY at the Kentucky Hoopfest. However, Corvonn has had a complete recovery and is currently off to a sensational senior season, putting up big numbers in his last two games, scoring 19 points against Milwaukee Vincent and 26 points against cross town rival, Madison East.

Recently, John Grzanich from Southeastern, IA community college was in Milwaukee to specifically watch and evaluate Patrick Davis, DeMarcus Phillips, and Steve Ivory Jr.
Coach Grzanich indicated their interest in all 3 players as propsects to play basketball at Southeastern. Patrick Davis being the most intriguing of all the propsects because of his length, agility, and timing. According to Coach Grzanich, he felt that Davis is the type of kid that with a year as a red-shirt could developed into a tremendous 4 - year college player.
Coach Grzanich loved the versatilty, athleticism and scoring prowless of DeMarcus Phillips. He thought Phillips was ready to come in and help them right now.
Steve Ivory "is a man". Coach G loved his body, his competitiveness and physicality around the basket.

Patrick Davis, a 6'8 C from Milwaukee Washington High School continues to show steady improvement in his offensive game.
In the Stay In The Game Showcase, Davis really demonstrated the ability to score in the post and his defensive prowless. Mark Murdoch from Adams State College felt that Davis could be a real force at the next level. Coach Murdoch on Davis: "The development of a players body, we can take care of once he get's here to school. With added strength, Pat will be a real force at our level".

Delonte Mitchell, a 5'11 PG from Watertown High School played very well at the Stay In The Game show case held on Saturday, October 6h, 2008, turning the head of Adam's State College head coach, Mark Murdoch.
Coach Murdoch felt Mitchell was an outstanding prospect for their level. According to Coach Murdoch, "Delonte is ready to play now. He knows the game and knows how to make plays for his teammate to raise their level of play. He has a very high basketball IQ. We love his quickness, athleticism and skill level".

The University of Wisconsin Badgers are the latest school to contact the Stay In The Game coaching staff on stand-out guard Demarcus Phillips. Phillips' stock continues to rise across the country and in the eyes of many people that have either seen him play this spring or summer. In many peoples opinion, Phillips is the best guard in the state of Wisconsin.
The Badgers do have 1 scholarship left in the 2008 class and are seeking another athletic wing guard or post player, and will be travelling to Indiana and Kentucky to watch Phillips compete this summer.

The camp will take place at Iowa State, June 16th - 17th and will feature many top prospects from California, Puerto Rico, Iowa, Indiana, and Illinois.
